Wilson Buduzi Obeneme is a professional in the energy sector, specialising in digitalisation and production, boasting nearly a decade of experience. His journey in the industry has been diverse, starting as a research engineer and programmer before transitioning into roles such as production operations engineer and subsequently, pipelines operations and maintenance engineer. Notably, he supervised the maintenance and upkeep of a significant crude oil export line in Nigeria. Presently, he holds a pivotal global position at Shell UK as a Citizen Development Digitalisation Lead, spearheading initiatives to enhance efficiency and facilitate the industry's transition towards sustainable energy solutions using low-code/no-code technologies. Wilson holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt. His expertise led him to relocate to the UK under the Global Talent Scheme in digital technology. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Wilson is an entrepreneur with affiliations in the healthtech, energy and software development sectors in Nigeria. He is certified by Microsoft and Project Management Institute and is a recipient of multiple awards throughout the course of his career. Recently, Wilson has directed his focus towards empowering individuals to unleash their potential and boost productivity through simple techniques and digital tools, leveraging the power of artificial intelligence. He is also a public speaker, serving as the host of The GrowthPlug Podcast, and the driving force behind The GrowthPlug Newsletter, where he shares insights on career transitions, digitalization, productivity, and professional development.
